So Hot, She Shits Fire - Reina’s Own Pagoda Five?
(Clicking on the thumbnail will bring up the full image)
The Wonkylicious One is showing off her top 5 favorite MoMusu singles in her latest CDData column (her debut with the band, “Shabondama”, is at the top of the list). I sure wish that Paul at Hello! Blog or Jin at Hello! Non-Pro Hour were still translating these - I’d love to know exactly what she thinks of her five choices.

I will give it a shot. But it takes me longer when I can’t c/p the kanji into the dictionary.
Huh, singles is released on the 24th? Damn that’s a long preorder.

Wow Reina writes…wonkily. Maybe it’s me. Have to put this on th back burner, I spent several hours trying to figure out why she’s referring to herself as a “stray dog” at one point or if that’s what she’s saying. I have to get better at recognizing handwritten kanji, so I’ll keep trying.
It’s funny she picked mostly songs with her singing leads, not very “Japanese”.

Things I can make out…
*Shabondama: 6th gen’s debut PLUS she was a centre member. It was during the jacket shoot that she really started to feel like a member of MoMusu.
*Tsunku was around a lot for the dance lessons for Sexy Boy? She mentions him a lot…
*Ambitious has got something about the dance lessons… she also thinks the PV was really cool.
*She picked Roman because after Rika graduated, she got all her lines.
Also, she especially likes the “Check!” bit at the start during the intro, singing it live makes her really happy.
*Koi No Dance Site was the single at which Reina became a MoMusu fan, I think.
It began from this CD.

From the column if my reading is correct, I think Koi No Dance Site’s original release date was on Reina’s Birthday, you know…11 Nov.

Beemer:
Hmmm… according to wiki.theppn.org, Koi No Dance Site came out on January 10, 2000 - so that may not be right…

[...] Tanaka had two choices, both personal favorites. One was “Shadondama”, which she had already picked as her top favorite Morning Musume single in the 17th installment of her CDData column last October. The other choice was one she shared with [...]
